- Begin planning the pilot program
- Determine length of pilot program
- Recruit volunteer parents for pilot program
- Meet with administration, faculty and students
- Begin fundraising and promotion
1 to 2 Months In Advance
- Begin pilot program
- Maintain a daily log of pilot program
- Continue recruitment of parent volunteers
- Create promotional material
- Hold Parents on Campus meetings frequently
- Stay in close contact with administration
1 Month In Advance
- Continue pilot program and monitor daily log
- Begin or continue scheduling parent volunteers for the permanent Parents on Campus program
- Continue to locate and recruit service organizations
Start Date
- Review strengths and weaknesses of pilot program
- Form the permanent Parents on Campus committee
- Develop means of identifying volunteers (e.g., hats, badges, clothing and/or name tags)
- Notify faculty and students about start of Parents on Campus
Program Maintenance
- Continuous recruitment and promotion
- Hold regular Parents on Campus meetings
- Maintain regular contact with administration
- Continue fundraising events
