In Memory of Molly
January 9, 2015
On July 9, 2014, we lost our beloved Molley Stanley, who long served as the heart and soul of Stanley Ranch. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Molly's deep love of horses started when she was just a young girl. She always knew what she wanted to do with her life, and that was to raise horses. The photo to the right was taken when Molly was just ten years old. She writes, "My ambition is to raise horses with strains of Arab, racing, riding, and mountain blood so they will have stamina, speed, and gentleness."
Molly was an accomplished rider herself. Pictured below is Molly jumping Rah Gem, circa 1976. The photo was taken by Johnny Johnston and was used as the cover shot of his 1977 calendar.
Molly spent many happy years at Stanley Ranch, doing what she loved most with her loving husband, Dave, at her side. Pictured below is Molly and Dave with CZANTIAGO+// in 2009 when he won Supreme Champion Two-Year-Old at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.
Of course, Molly will be missed, and her contributions to the world of Arabian Sport Horses will be felt for generations to come. Her daughter, Lisa, will continue to keep the legacy of Stanley Ranch Arabians alive.
